One, two, three, four, I should buy no more...

I have ONE doll from Ringdoll. I have TWO dolls from Iplehouse. I have THREE dolls from Volks. I have FOUR dolls from Elfdoll.

Yes, the 2nd Iplehouse is at customs but she should be here any day. And my 4th Volks is not completely sold, but my friend has made plans to buy her. I have ordered a doll from Twigling but I've not yet gotten any confirmation. So in my mind it counts.

I'm really considering keeping the Iplehouse F. Doria head. One of my good friends took some photos of her, and she's gorgeous! Now I want to keep her and see what I can do.

And need I say how cool I think it is that Iplehouse is doing a Pirate-inspired theme now. The Carved Heritage. I have high hopes and big dreams! I believe I can get the outfits I need for my story (based around my Iplehouse Bibiane).

Answers to questions from Red Riding Hood (Liebster Blogger Award)

My dear friend asked me some questions on her blog as part of the Liebster Blogger Award. Never heard of it before but I like to answer questions about my BJD hobby.

1. What is the next doll you have planned?
As in going to buy or waiting for? I have a Iplehouse Bibiane on the way, and just ordered a tan Ingenieuse from Twigling.
But as for future dolls I have planned but not yet ordered (and I have no idea about when I'll order them), there are two: Iplehouse SID Asa and Lahela LB; my Hawaiian girls. I don't know when I'll end up buying them. Simply because I feel like I can only have about 10 dolls so I need to sell some to have room for other dolls.

2. Most people in the BJD hobby have characters for their dolls. Assuming you do too, how did the character come to be?
They are part of the stories in my mind.
The way a character comes alive in my head is first with an idea. Like with Marina (my Pirate lady), I knew I wanted a pirate doll eventually. When I saw someone selling their Souldoll Karin fullset I knew I wanted the outfit. Considered buying the doll just to claim the outfit. But I was lucky to be able to buy the outfit only. I knew I wanted it on my Volks Ruby. Then the next question was "can it fit a SD16 body?" Yes, it could. Then it was just a question of making the character come alive.

3. Do your dolls have a theme song and if so which one(s)?
No.
But I guess "Yo ho, Yo ho! A pirate's life for me" could be Marina's.

4. Where do you prefer to talk about dolls? (DoA, blogs, Tumblr, other?)
I use Resin Garden the most, then DoA, then Blogs. Resin Garden for discussion. DoA for news and sales. Blogs to keep up with my friends' plans.

5. What do you like the most about the doll hobby?
The creativeness and my friends.
I love my friends in the hobby and I don't think I would enjoy the hobby as much without them. But the creativeness is really, really important for me to actually enjoy myself in the hobby.

6. What do you like the least about the doll hobby?
The Drama! and the price.
The drama is the worst, I think.

7. Do you dream of any kind of doll that does not yet exist?
I'd really, really like one more Tan Volks SD16 girl. I often feel that if I sold every doll except my Volks Ruby then I would still be a happy girl.

8. Do you have any irl friends who share your hobby?
Yes, many. And very good friends!

9. If you could get 1 free doll right now, which doll would you choose?
Most like a Volks SD16 Amelia. But there are many dolls I really want.
Some dolls I'd love to get (but that I probably wont buy): Volks SD16 Amelia, Volks SD16 Ami, Ringdoll Frankenstein, Volks SD17 Reisner the Scarface.

10. Have you gotten any new friends through the doll hobby?
Yes, I have. I've met some good friends through the hobby.

11. Honestly, do you think you'll ever lose your interest in dolls?
Most likely. I don't see myself as an old lady still enjoying dolls. As long as I can and want to be creative with the dolls then I'll enjoy the hobby. If I suddenly needed money I would have no problem selling a doll.
